When we used to go up the hills to see the falls
We offerd our spines to nature for some actions n fun
We took the slide down on the rocks with the strangers
N the strangers gave us hands when we slipped
The streams never carried any bouble of gold
They ran down to meet the people n the sea
Someone once took me to a river called Shankha
The water was like cristal liquor over the sands like jewels
Black bright boys invited me to play on shore full of sun
Still I wonder how could they gave such white wide smiles
Remember we took the boats with bamboo sheds
When I hung my head from the end my hairs started to swim
Grasses looked greener as well as the trees
We trusted everything we saw n every little breeze
There was a bird we saw was a Harichacha the boatman said
Lonely n avoiding it was but still watching us from a distance
We were happy for everything we had but of everything
As the falls go sharp n then slow down n start mingling
Here the streams never carry any bouble of gold
They run down only to meet the people n the sea
